Hello,

I have an application that uses the same setup file to run the same test on dozens of machines. I would like to share the results of the tests with others in excel format. This sounds like a perfect application for the excel reporting tool. I have gone through the example brake test that comes with the download using the example .dxd files provided and that works fine. When I try it on my data I receive errors shown in pictures below. The data was collected using X3 SP5 however I have updated to SP6. I am using Excel 2016. Has anyone else had issues using the excel reporting tool? I would also like to know if anyone is using it successfully and could help. Thank you very much for any help you can provide.

Dear Shaun,

does the error occur with every data file, or only with the specific data file? Can you provide the data file which causes the error?

If not can you tell us what kind of data (channels) are you using, so we can reproduce the issue on our site.

I may have found the issue. The .dxd files I am trying to use are locked with password which is selected in the setup file they are created with. I don't seem to have any trouble using data files that are not locked. Does this sound like it may be the problem? Is there a way to permanently unlock a file? I can open up the data files and temporarily unlock them for editing, but whenever I close that file it is locked again the next time I open it. How can I get around this problem? I have hundreds of data files that I would like to create reports for.

Dear Shaun,

unfortunately, if the data have a password it can not be used in the Excel reporting tool.

As a workaround we tested that you can re-export the data to Dewesoft in this case you will have a data file without any password.
