Dear Dino,

the RunExeFile.exe is Dewesoft Launcher program, which can be Selected/unselected during installation. The program shows you which devices are currently connected and you can automatically launch Dewesoft from it.

You will find the location if you go to Tash manager under Start-up, where you will find the location of the program.

Hi Eva,

Thanks for the quick reply.

Is it possible to remove it after installation without uninstalling and re-installing the entire Dewesoft app or disable running at start-up.

Unfortunately, the option to disable it in the Star-up window has been greyed out on my machine.

I am concerned that this RunExeFile.exe (background app) has been allowed to run without any elevated user permission and could be exploited.

Dear Dino,

you can just delete the folder where is the *.exe program, that should uninstall it properly.
