Hi

In Combustion function I am learning, I found gas mass is a default value 0.56g in themodynamics 2 set up,and how to get the data? on the ohter hand,when I try to only choose “measured”,there is only “gas mass” value to be writtened for me,why?

Dear Lau,


thank you for contacting us. The gas mass is the mass of the gas in the cylinder per one engine cycle. The gas mass is calculated from the ideal gas law (PV=nRT) taking into account the volumetric efficiency. When selecting Calculated the intake temperature, intake pressure, and also the volumetric efficiency (0.9= 90% filled) must be entered. If Measured is selected (after selecting Calculated [please refer to the attached image]), the intake pressure is measured from the zero point corrected high-pressure curve.
