Use of Digital In Channels
I can visualise a scenario where I have Krypton modules collecting data in an unattended monitoring system without any "proper" HMI. In order to confirm the device is operational, there will be a display showing current time, system status and is to be configured to show recorder instruments for key channels. In the absence of a keyboard (or even a touchscreen), I wonder about using a Krypton One, 4DI connected to momentary pushbutton switches to perform a limited set of actions - in case the local user needs to carry out some checks under remote instruction (even though we hope the unit will be accessible via the Internet). Each channel's change in state (0-1-0) would be configured to a certain action as per the following examples:
- record fast data (for a preset duration)
- initiate fast data transfer to preset location
- cycle to next screen
- return to home screen
Would this be feasible? I recall doing something similar using soft buttons on the screen.

Dear John,
we looked over your requests. If we understand correctly you would like to use a digital channel from Krypton 4xDI to control the measurement.
Recording fast data should not be a problem with the DI signal. You will need to adjust the storing settings to Fast on trigger and adjust the trigger on the DI signal.
When you are describing transferring data we would need some additional information. Where would you like to have this data transferred? Is your measurement system in a NET configuration? Would you like to transfer data in *.dxd format? Please give me as much information as possible.
Switching between screens is possible via Input control, where a Button is created and by pressing on it the screen changes. This can also be possible via sequence, but for the sequence, you would need to define when do you need the functionality of changing the screen. Do you want to change screens custom on a random time?

Eva
