Hello,

I'm currently using a dewe43 to record sound, RPM, application pressure, moment and temperature in a brake dynamometer.

I use the trigger function on the moment channel to only record when the brake is applied. I now have a file with 20 events over 7 hours.

I would like to have these 20 events in 20 different files, what is the best way to do this? In the future, what would be the best way to logg each event in a different file?

Hi,

if you would like to split a file that has already been recorded, then you can export each triggered area to a new file. I'm guessing that your storing type is "fast on trigger"? If that's true, you can press the trigger button (attached picture) and use the arrow key to move through the triggered areas. You can then export each part to a new DEWESoft file individually. It will take some time, but I think this is the fastest way to do it.

For future files just use multi file storing and select create a new file after 1 event. This will make a new file whenever the storing trigger is activated.

Thank you, I will try that. The second part I figured out after a while!
