Can you update the min / max of a control via the sequencer?

Hi,

you unfortunately have no way of changing the min/max of a visual control through the sequencer. You can only do it thorugh the user interface or by manually changing the XML.

Can this feature be added on future updates?

Hi,

I'm afraid that's not really possible. The only thing that could potentially be added is to change the channel's property. This however isn't the same as the visual control's min/max. We don't have any way of changing the visual controls, other than manually and through the XML. Normally, the user will configure the display once and then use the automation protocols that we have (sequencer, DCOM, NET). The display isn't really supposed to be changing on the fly as part of the automation.

What I would like to have, is to change the properties (eg min/max) of either a User Input or Global Variable or a visual control on the fly using the sequencer. There seems to a limited amount of methods or properties made public in the sequencer . Why can't this be expanded?

When you say xml, are you refering to the setup file saved as xml format? If so, how can you update it through the sequncer without creating an external library?
