Hi,

I'm developing some automation using the Sequencer and I would like to know how I can send an ASCII command to a device using the Ethernet TCP. In the past, I was using the Serial communication to send a command to an Arduino and it was very easy to establish a communication and send the messages. Now I have some doubts about performing the same task using another device.

My device is a Logo 8 from Siemens and I wanna start a cycle using the Sequencer, so I need to send a message to write a coil. What are the parameters in the device configuration (remote host and remote port) that I need to change? Is it needed to establish an Ethernet communication using a plugin or something?

The ASCII command that I need to send is this:

 3A 30 31 30 35 31 46 46 45 46 46 30 30 44 45 0D 0A

Maybe if there is another option to perform the same task let me know.

Thanks.

Hi,

you can do this by first adding Ethernet device in sequencer and then using remote control block to send the command.
