Hi, I have a problem with the data export in DewesoftX. I can't get it to show me the number of decimals I want for each sensor.

I have for example this acquisition:

As you can see, the recorded data has 2 decimal places. I have set these decimal places using "Global decimal places", assigning 2 decimal places to the "mm" unit.

So far, everything is fine. The problem I have is when exporting the data.

For example, I want to export the data to a .asc file (although I have the same problem with any format). To do this, I leave the "decimal place" options on AUTO. According to the manual, when doing this, the previous decimal place setting set by the user should prevail, in this case "2". But when I do the export, I find this:

The measurements do correspond to the acquisition, but with many more decimals.

If I set the number of decimals option to "2" manually, it does export with 2 decimals, but it does so for all signals, and that doesn't interest me, because each type of sensor must have its number of decimals.

I have also tried setting the number of decimal places from this window, but nothing, it does the same thing.

In short, the decimal number settings are only effective for acquisition. When exporting, it always gives me 12 decimal places.

I have the software updated to the latest version.

What can I do?

Best regards.

Dear Juan,

thank you for reaching out to us.

As it stands, the only export where the number of exported decimals can be defined (for all channels) is .txt export- DewesoftX currently does not have an option for the user to define the export precision for each individual channel.

I have reported this to the developers as a feature request, and will notify you if this gets picked up for development.

Best regards,

Pika.
