Hello everyone,

Currently, I am measuring compression strain on a specimen by using Dewesoft Krypton 6xSTG. The diagram below describes the applied force direction and terminal configuration.

However, the obtained results are all positive. I also swith the terminal between In+(2) and In-(7), but when it comes to thermal expansion, the strain outcome is negative in stead of positive result.

I am looking forward to hear your advices about my task.

Thank you.

Hello Dung,

Can you write which strain gauge model do you use?

Moreover can you take a photo on how the wires are connected to the strain gauge and how to the DSUB9 connector so we can see the pinout?

Hello Matic,

The strain gauge that i used is n2a-06-s1783-40b/e2/sp62, you can refer to the link: https://www.me-systeme.de/product-pdf?product_id=2996&lang=en

Unfortunately, i have sealed the strain gauge with strain gauge covering agent, but I can assure you that the connector of DSUB9 is exactly like the diagram below:

Thank you for your respond.

Hello Dung,

Thank you for additional information. It still doesn't tell us enough to solve the problem.

Can we get a picture of the test, how the specimen looks like, material, shape, the size, etc, and a datafile of your measurement?

You can share this with us over https://forum.dewesoft.com/private-forum/private-support-discussion or sending to [email protected]

Best regards
