Plotting Spectrogram / Exporting live FFT data -- DEWESoft X3 SP4
Dear all,
I am a relative newbie in DEWESoft, so apologies if this question is simple.
In Analysis mode, I want to plot a Spectrogram of FFT data vs. time. I try to use the 3D graph option in 'Design' menu, but cannot select any inputs for the axes. Could someone please advise how I should do this ?
Alternatively, I could export live FFT data (for each point in time), but I cannot see an option for this. I can only export raw waveform data or peak hold FFT data. Any advice on where I'm going wrong ?
Finally, I have also collected engine RPM data. If I want to plot FFT vs. engine RPM, I need this live FFT data extracted somehow.
Any answers are much appreciated, thank you in advance !

Dear Alexandre,
would you please explain more about your application. What are you measuring? Which plugin are you using? Could you maybe provide a data file so we can look into your measurement?
If you use the Fourier transform math or FFT Analyzer you should plot the result in the 3D graph as a "Spectrogram".
You can export live data using our Excel Writer plugin. You can find the documentation on our web page.

I am measuring physical vibration of an engine exhaust, using a tri-axial accelerometer. I have the raw waveform data from each axis, and use the Fourier transform function to calculate the FFT whilst collecting data.
Looking into FFT Analyzer and Order tracking, I get the message 'Dewesoft not registered to use: Order tracking'.
Am I currently using a limited version of Dewesoft - is a licence/extension required?
I am not familiar with Order tracking. What is it?

you can read more about the Order Tracking plugin on one of our Pro Tutorial. The Order Tracking is mostly for analysis of vibration signals from rotating machines.
