Please explain the VNC option when installing X3 SP8
Our IT department is having heartburn over the "unapproved" VNC app that X3 installs by default.
Can someone explain to me what this is used for and is it necessary for normal operation?
If its worth installing we can create an "exception" for the PC's that will be running the software, but I'll need to know exactly what it does.

Dear Lemmy,
Dewesoft offers two different connection protocols for connecting to slaves in a Dewesoft-NET option and one of them is VNC protocol. You can see the differences between the VNC and RDP protocols on the following solution.
In your case where you are not allowed to install the VNC connection option, you can still use the "Remote desktop protocol" for Dewesoft-NET option.
