Hello all,

please see the picture of the overload issue with our vibration channels when we are using MSI-BR-ACC Signal Conditioners (when we take off the MSI-BR-ACC Signal Conditioner out of the plugs the red overload warning turns to green). In the picture sensitivities are not there but we tried most of the settings with sensors connected also and it did not work, these channels were still showing overload.

This device is a Dewe43V our newer one (Dewe43A) works fine with the same MSI-BR-ACC Signal Conditioners and the sensors (everything is green and there are no overloads with the same setup with Dewe43A).

Can you please help regarding to clear these overloads or is Dewe43V not compatible with MSI-BR-ACC Signal Conditioners (or do we need a firmware update kind of solution for Dewe43V), thanks.

Dear Matt,

I had some trouble finding all the older hardware but I have managed to make a test and can confirm that the MSI-BR adaptor works on the Dewe43-V.

The device has the firmware updated to the latest version 6.1.27.16, could you please check and if needed update the firmware?

Best regards.

Rok

@Rok Kmetič thanks for your reply, I just could check the firmware and it is 5.1.6.16 for the Dewe43-V.

Can you please let us know how to proceed with the firmware update, how can I reach the latest firmware for the Dewe43-V (do I need a flash tool for that etc.), thanks.

Best Regards,

Matt

Dear Matt,

the latest firmware version is 6.1.27.16 which can be found and downloaded from our webpage.

The firmware update procedure is very straightforward you just need to follow these steps:

Updating firmware

Required equipment:

- DEWESoft instrument

- DEWESoft version X3 or above

- DEWESoft firmware upgrade package (.dxu file)

Upgrade process:

1. Download the DEWESoft upgrade package (.dxu file) from the DEWESoft downloads page under the section Drivers.

2. Copy the file into the Firmwares folder of your DEWESoft installation (e.g.C:\Program Files\DewesoftX_Release\System\Firmwares).

3. Connect the DEWESoft instrument to the PC and run DEWESoftX.

4. Go to settings:

5. In settings go to the Update menu:

6. If the firmware package isn’t selected, select it by pressing the button and find the folder with the firmware file in it.

7. Select the device you want to upgrade and start the firmware upgrade by pressing the “Upgrade” button.

8. The following window should appear indicating that the upgrade has begun:

9. Wait until the software finishes the upgrade and then press close:

10. After the upgrade, the device status should turn green and state “Up to date”.

Warning: Do not disconnect the device during the firmware upgrade!

Best Regards.

@Rok Kmetič thanks for the detailed instructions again.

Finally I could update the firmware today and those warnings went away, I will let you know if we encounter any further problems during data collection but right now everything seems OK.

Best Regards,

Matt
