Dear Fabian,

I understand that the status didn't go to OVL nevertheless the value is exceeded the range. Do you perhaps have a datafile for a reference. We will see the setup configuration out of it and which version has been used to measure the file. Then we can suggest you for setup modifications.

Best regards

Hello Matic, thanks for your support. It shows correctly in Analyze mode when I enable show status at current positions but not during Measure mode. Here is a datafile:

Dear Fabian,

According to the Overload Indicator manual the Overload indicator refers to the amplifier's range. That means that the OVL will not appear until you the range value is exceeded. Moreover the OVL indication is valid only for AI channels not for Math channels.

Important to Note is that the MIN & MAX values of the channel don't have any effect to the OVL indication. For example if you set the max value lower than range of the channel, the OVL indication will ignore that until the range value is exceeded. I recorded one video that demonstrates this. It is attached to my response.

For your case, the most appropriate is to set Channel limits. That module will allow you to set the limits to any type of channel like AI, math channels, discrete channels, etc.

Do not hesitate to ask if you need additional explanation.

Hello Matic, what confuses me is that in Analyze mode the Status will change in Overload Indicator as expected with show status at current positions enabled:

I am using Channel Limits but not Condition channels since that's even more work to setup properly. I would expect the Overload Indicator to work the same way in Measure mode as in Analyze mode and there are instances of measurements where that is the case. I have experienced it before but it looks like it doesn't work all the time, like in this case. Here is a data file of when it worked: datafile2.zip

The screenshots provided fully comply to your setup.

Once again, I would like to to remind you that the channel named "MAX" has nothing to do with Channel limits, neither to OVL indication.

The status in the Overload indicator widget refers to the marked columns

You confirmed that is works correctly in Analyze mode. I can confirm the same based on your datafiles. If you find it different in Measure mode, then please screenrecord the video during storing and sent it over to us.
