Occasional Glitch Dewe43A

Since Upgrading a Dewe 43A iso power to firmware version 6.1.20.16 using the firmware upgrade path via x2 SP7 there is an occasional failure to initalise a Analogue channel 7. Sometimes it can be rectified by switching to and from the measurement screen and sometimes it requires unplugging the USB cable.

This behavior is consistent between x2 SP5 and x2 SP7, no other Channels seem to be impacted by this.

Please disregard, i believe a ground wiring fault was found that was causing a small signal to be lost from time to time.

Hi,

I'm glad that you were able to find the source of the problem. Thank you for the update.

Sadly it seems like it was not a wiring issue.

We are using channel 7 to measure a current shunt (range set to 0.1) and it seems to measure just fine for a while, then eventually it fails to get properly scaled measurements. I have found that it is recording the current and multiplying these values x100 gets it back to approximately the right values. I have also noticed that if i change the range to 10V then it works no problems. Are you able to advise if this is a hardware failure?

Hi,

that's really unfortunate. It's hard to say if it is a hardware failure or not, but it might be. Could you please share a data file with us, so that one of our developers will be able to look at the wrong data more closely. I've attached a manual that shows you where you can upload the data. We could also establish a TeamViewer connection to check out the system first hand if that something that you're able to do.
