I'm trying to trigger an encoder-reset based on a positive edge trigger of a load channel and I cant find an easy way to do this.

What I have is a rotary torque/angle encoder to measure fastener loads. At the start of a measurement the tool will spin up and "accumulate" an angle reading until the fastener runs out of thread and takes up torque. I want to reset this angle to zero the second the torque channel sees positive value.

In the Counter settings I have both "Reset on start measure" and "Allow reset during measure" checkboxes enabled. I also set up a storing trigger to start storing on the positive edge of the torque signal thinking that would reset the CNT reading but it does not behave like I expected.

How can I reset the CNT based on a trigger or some other non-user action.

Dear Lemmy,

thank you for contacting us. In the attachment is an example data file of a math formula (Counter-reset) for resetting the counter value. In the example the Counter-reset is reset every time the value of sine is higher than 3.

For any additional questions please do not hesitate to contact us.

Kind regards.
