Hi,

I encountered some problems during testing of the new Motor Analysis option in the Power module.

If no devices were connected to the computer, the Motor Analysis tab is visible while setting up channels

After connecting measurment devices the software successfully recognizes them.(synced devices)

After leaving the Devices menu, the Motor Analysis tab is not visible anymore, but the options and checkboxes remain and are functional.

Swapping between any of the tabs prevents the user from returning to the Motor Analysis menu. I had to disconnect both devices and restart DewesoftX for the Motor Analysis tab to appear again. This means that if I want to change settings on any other of the Power module tabs and then return back to the Motor Analysis, I have to:

  • disconnect all measuring devices
  • restart DewesoftX
  • navigate to the Motor Analysis tab
  • reconnect the devices
  • change settings

While any device is connected, opening a new Power module tab doesn't show the Motor Analysis tab, it's invisible everywhere.

The Motor Analysis signals (DQ voltages, currents, resolver frequency, angle,...) are all usable during Measurment even when the Motor Analysis tab is invisible.

This was tested today, 25.07.2023, and I updated DewesoftX yesterday, 24.07.2023, to the latest release.

If you need any more information, I'm happy to help.

Dear Matej,

Thank you fore explaining this broadly.

I understand that Motor Analysis option is not visible when devices are connected while it is visible when you disconnect them both. I understand also that you have license for Power module.

As the Motor Analysis is new extension for Power module it is licensed separately. Do you have the license for Motor Analysis?
