Modbus rtu plugin on Dewesoft X3

I am looking into the possibilities of using the modbus rtu plugin on Dewesoft X3 build 20 (64bit).

But the manual uses old version Dewesoft as a example.

Are there any updated instruction?

Hi,

we unfortunately don't have any new documentation for the Modbus RTU plugin. From an user interface standpoint, all of the settings inside the plugin are still the same, the only thing that's changed is DEWESoft's layout.

To add the plugin, you can simply copy it to the addons folder and then run DEWESoft as an administrator. For more details, you can check out this guide. Coincidentally, one of the plugin examples used in that guide is the Modbus RTU. Everything else will be the same as in the manual.

Another thing that you need to watch out for is that the Modbus RTU plugin is only available in the 32-bit version, meaning you can't use it with a 64-bit DEWESoft. You will need to download the 32-bit installer.
