Modal Geometry

Hello together,

i would like to ask for one small implementation in the modal geometry.

We make mostly modal analysis of assembled parts. There we are most interested in the "stiffness" and the movement of the linking parts ( bearings / linear guides /flat guides ).

Therefore highlighting, which point/surface is part of which machine structure.

Below you can see a simple structure (yet hard to understand if you did not create it yourself).

--> IT would be great if you could gie the points an surfaces a specific color, to tell apart from which section of the machine they come.

So beeing able to customize the color of the points and the surfaces would be great.

Best Regards

Daniel

+1 on that. It would be very useful with color selection on surfaces or points in order to visualise components in our assemblies too.

Dear Daniel,

Thank you for reaching out.

Could you clarify how you see the color choice for separate surfaces, bearings, etc.?

Because when you use the Modal Analysis plugin, you can see a color animation that shows the surface's reaction to external impact.

Hello,

there is also the selection of only viewing the movment.

Therefore, only the movement with different colors would be great.

--> not the deformation information.

--> yes that would cost that visibility, but it would be nice to have the option for this

--> See the picture as an example for coloring (very simply).

Dear Daniel,

We would like to inform you that we add "Customizable colors for points and surfaces in Modal Geometry" to the new Modal Geometry version 5.3.25 which is already available in 2024.2 RELEASE version that you can download from Download center.
