Dear Dewesoft Support Team,

I have a set of three-phase current and voltage data acquired with SIRIUS. When analyzing the data in DewesoftX, I cannot find the "voltage flicker" module under [Analyze]-[Setup]-[Power]-[Power Quality] (see attached dwsX-01.jpg; it should appear as shown in the manual reference - see attached dwsX-01-manual.jpg). Additionally, the option "Enable IEC 61400‑21‑1 calculations" appears grayed out and cannot be selected (see attached dwsX-02.jpg). The channel list also does not display any flicker-related channels (e.g., Pst, Plt).

Could this be due to incorrect settings on my end, or might it be related to the software version? How should I resolve this issue?

Software Version: DewesoftX 2025.3 (RELEASE[PWR]-260109, 64-bit)

Dear Lucian,

thank you for contacting us and providing the screenshots of your setup. Based on the details provided, the reason the Voltage Flicker module is missing and the IEC 61400-21-1 calculations are grayed out is due to the GPU acceleration (CUDA) being enabled for the Power module.

While GPU acceleration is incredibly powerful for handling high sample rates (up to 15 MS/s) in real-time, certain specialized library functions—specifically Flicker and the IEC 61400-21-1 wind turbine standards—are currently only supported by the CPU-based calculation engine.

To access these features, you need to disable GPU acceleration for that specific power module. You can make this easy to manage by enabling the "toggling" option:

  • Go to Options -> Settings in the top right corner of DewesoftX.
  • Navigate to the Extensions tab and find Power Analysis.
  • Check the box "Allow toggling GPU acceleration on/off in individual power modules".
  • Close the settings. Now, within your Power Module setup, you will see a toggle switch for GPU acceleration.
  • Turn the GPU acceleration OFF.

Once disabled, the Voltage Flicker section and the IEC 61400-21-1 checkbox should immediately become available for use.

I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any further questions while setting this up.

Best regards,

Lucian W
