Maths channel for timing

    Hi,

I am trying to setup a maths channel in Dewesoft that acts as a timing device. I am completing a vehicle test, where I need to travel above a certain speed for a set period of time. I only want time to accumulate when the vehicle has achieved a certain velocity eg. >20 km/h. I have tried using if functions, but have been unsuccessful; so any advice would be appreciated.

I am hoping that this is a relatively easy thing to do!

    Thanks in advance,

    Dan

    Hi,

we offer a stopwatch function in math, but that will only measure the difference between two conditions and won't offer a live counter and continued timing through several on/off cycles. It can however be done in a a pretty simple way. What I did in the example setup is basically count all of the samples that pass your condition. In the next formula I simply divide that number by the sample rate, which in term gives us a live stopwatch.

Let me know if you have any questions.
