Hello

I have a signal that I want to have presented in the measurement window with a logarithmic scale, both as a vertical bar and in the recorder.

Is there any solution to achieve this?

Dear Anders,

2D graph allows you to draw horizontal and vertical axis as logaritmic.

Thanks for the reply.

It didn't really work with this solution for us, but we have solved it in another way.

Anders, I'm happy to hear that.

Feel free to share the solution also with others.

Sorry for the late reply

It wasn't a perfect solution, but it still works ok. We took the scale and inserted it as an image next to the recorder widget, where the signal value from the detector is displayed (in volts). The same signal was then converted in a math function to get the correct value (cps) in the display widget.

If there is a better solution to get the same scale directly in the recorder widget it would be great?

Hello,

Thank you for sharing the solution. From what you have presented you need only y-axis in logarithmic scale while x-axis in time manner. What is the application of such measurement?

Hi

That is correct we want a logarithmic y-axis and the x-axis in time manner.

We log the signal to an indicator which indicates (CPS), from an equipment that measures the neutron flux. We want to see the change of the signal over time.

Dear Anders,

Thank you for the information. What about using the XY recorder and set axis as LOG? Please see the screenshot below and a video for a reference.
