Leadwire Compensation Error

When wiring quarter bridge strain gages, we will use a DB9 to RJ45 adapter, which is kept short (less than 12") then a long 3 wire ribbon cable to the gage under test, which could be up to 100' in length. Whenever I press the "compensation" button in Dewesoft X3, I get an error; "BridgeCorrectionFactor < 1 not possible. Please check BridgeR-, ShuntR-, BrWires and measurement values". Can someone tell me what pins the lead wire compensation takes place on? I wonder if we need to bring more pins out to the gage location for proper compensation. Currently everything is wired up inside the small DB9 to RJ45, then out of the RJ45 is only pin5, pin7, and one wire that leads from the Pin 3/8 short. This is on a SIRIUSiwe STGM device.

Thanks!
