Hello Team,

Is there a way to see what hardware was used when I launch DewesoftX and select an existing test setup?

We have 3 Sirius slices that get shuffled around the lab quite regularly depending on test status, delays, priorities, etc.

When resuming a test where the hardware has been reassigned it would be nice to see what device was used last. For instance, in the list of setup files add a column with hardware ID or S/N.

I understand I can remap channels when a different device was used but I'm forced to create/rename a second setup file which can add confusion later on.

If given the option I'd use the same hardware but have no way of knowing what was used last.

Thank you.

Hello Lemmy

yes there are 2 ways, the first way is to right press the mouse key on the setup file and simple choose the Remap channels. On the left side you'll see the used devices and it's SN like in Image below.

The second way is to open the XML of the setup file.
1. step is to open setup file as archive to view the local.xml

2nd step is to open that local .xml with xml reader, I use XML Marker..

and then you search in the .xml tree structure: System/SysInfo/Devices/RealMeasurement/Hardware/Device
and you will find all sort of information about devices used.

Let us know if you need anything.

Best regards
