Is it possible to use a video capture with Dewesoft?
Hi, I would like to know if it is possible to use a video capture with Dewesoft. The main purpose is to record the PC screen on DW.
If this is possble, which one do you recommend?

Thank you for your answer. What we want is to record the HMI PC screen of the car though a video capture hardware (https://www.elgato.com/es/game-capture-hd60-s ...for example) directly to Dewesoft PC like an "external camera". Do you think it is possible?

in DewesoftX the video acquisition is supported with any DirectX compatible camera. If it is possible please try the device before buying it because this particular device (game-capture-hd60-s) might not be DirectX compatible. For more details on video acquisition with DewesoftX please refer to the manuals: video display, video module, DirectX camera.

Ok, we understand because we are working with cameras compatibles with DirectX in DewesoftX. But (if you used it berfore), could you recommend some video acquisition device compatible DirectX?

we can not recommend a specific video acquisition device, because we have not tested video acquisition with such devices, only web cameras. If the video capture from video acquisition device can be viewed in the amcap software there is a high probability that it will also work in DewesoftX.

I have a great news for you.
I have asked around for a video capture device so I could do a video capture test. I have tested BASETech BT-VC-200 USB 2.0 video capture dongle (HDMI input, USB 2.0 output) with DewesoftX 2021.4 and can confirm that the video captured from the dongle can be displayed in DewesoftX 2021.4.
