Hello DEWESoft,

I was wondering if there is a way to get the IRIG date and time in a text box like what we are doing to get the channel value with : <CHANNEL_VALUE NAME=> ?

I want the same text (IRIG date and time) as the one shown in the window title when using the IRIG to sync our KRYPTON modules.

Is it possible ?

If I display the current date / time it is the time from the PC and not from the IRIG signal which is not good for the user (we are displaying the HMI in fullscreen so the IRIG in the window title is not visible).

Thanks a lot and have a nice day !

Hi,

there currently isn't a way to get that time channel as a channel so it could be displayed in a text box. I have however spoken to a developer and we'll consider adding this time channel to the system monitor module. There is already a synchronization channel that returns a 1 or 0 depending if the synchronization is correct or not.

I'll let you know if the feature gets selected for development. I'd also like to know where you see the date, because my window will always only show the time. If you could paste a screenshot or if there's a setting that I'm missing, I would really appreciate it if you could share this information with me.

Hi !

Thanks for your answer, yes of course I know about the sync. channel which I already use. I can't wait to get this new feature in system monitor module !

I'm sorry I was a bit tired when I wrote this subject, by date I meant the day number of the IRIG time :) ... so no date from IRIG, my apologies.

Have a nice day !

Hi,

I just learned that this has already been implemented in the past, but I couldn't find it before because it was hidden inside advanced settings. I've attached two images which show what where you can enable this channel and where it will show up inside system monitor. This feature is present in the current release version X2 SP10 b18, so you can already use it.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply !

I enabled this channel thanks to your screenshots.

I tried to see the IRIG time on the user interface with the tag <CHANNEL VALUE NAME=AbsTime> but the IRIG time is not updated, it keeps displaying the same time (since DEWESoft was launched ?). And the format is not "good", IRIG is meant to show the day number, and here it is a date that is displayed like "04/07/17 16:35:01.545".
