GigE camera with X3 Software Issue
Hi there,
I was trying to use our GigE cameras with the new X3 - 32bit software setup but I get a "Filter driver not installed!" message (see attached) when I try to add them under the devices.
I have used these cameras without issues with the X2 software, and have never experienced this message before. Is there another add-on I have to install to get the GigE cameras working with X3 or is it not supported yet ?
Thanks

Hi,
I experienced the same thing but with 64-bit version and I think it is a matter of drivers that need to be updated to X3.

Hi,
you need to use the Opto Stream filter driver with the latest version of the plugin. Please download all of the latest files in the pack (link) and follow the pdf instructions. You should also install the C++ redistributable libraries and uninstall the previous GigE driver. If you're still having issue after that, please let me know.
Mikolaj, you're currently unable to use the plugin with the 64-bit DEWESoft. All plugins need to be 64-bit in order for them to be usable with the 64-bit DEWESoft version. I know this is not exactly obvious for a user, so we'll be adding a note to the top of the downloads page.
Greetings,
If I understand correctly, there is no way to use a GigE camera with 64 bit X3. Will there ever be a 64 bit driver? If so, how soon?

Hi,
yes, that's correct at the moment. It is my understanding that the 64-bit version has already been created but it just has to pass a few final tests. I'll see what I can do to get it on the webpage sometime in the next week.

Hi,
a new version of the GigE plugin has recently been released, and it's also available in a 64-bit edition. It can be downloaded here: https://www.dewesoft.com/download?file=GigECamera_...
