Export to Matlab Problem

I collect data using dewesoft, but do a lot of off line processing in Matlab. So we have to export from dewesoft to matlab format. We have a problem exporting as dewesoft X3 will only export to directories on the computer's c: drive (which is not where we keep the data) . I have something link 200GB to convert and my C:\ is not that big!!

  • Export to a directory on C:\ works fine.

  • Export to a directory on any other drive (whether wired to the PC's motherboard, connected by USB or on the network) does not work. There is sometimes an error message "Error in ExportObject.StartExport". The same is true whether doing a multifile export or exporting directly from the review screen.

My client sent me around 200x 2GB files to process, so having to copy in sections and then copy back to the data store is going to take a VERY long time.

Export to dewesoft format works to any location!

Is this a bug or did I do something wrong?

NB: I updated dewesoft X3 SP6 today, so have the latest software. I can't use earlier versions of dewesoft as only the 64 bit versions (ie X3) can handle the huge files!

Dear Nick,

please try this solution instructions. I think the problem is in the folder name. You can't have any space in the export path name.

Please tell me if you need any more help.
