Howdy Folks,

Some how i managed to mess up the default file path for the MS Excel templates for reporting... how do i repair this?

-Tried changing the default path in settings, that must be for purely the "export" not the template

-Looks like the templates are still there...

-Tried re-install to no avail.

Thanks,

DM

Hi,

the easiest attempt to fix this would be to delete your current project file (or all of them if it comes to that). DEWESoft settings are tied to specific project files, so deleting the problematic one should return things back to normal. When reinstalling, all of the project files probably remained on the drive, so that didn't solve the issue.

If this action doesn't fix the problem, just let me know and we'll figure out a different solution.

Hi,

if you make a new project based on the old one, it will create a copy of the one that is currently being used. That means that you probably created another broken copy. Try switching to a different project or deleting all of them. You can also delete them in the system folder. They are the files with the .dxp extension.

OK so when i go to make a new project.. it looks like its forcing it to be a copy of the "bad" one, made one, still have problem

when into program files, deleted all the .dxp's.. started Dewesoft, settings, projects, says default now.. but still have problem.

Uninstalled, registry clean, deleted all evidence of DEWESoft (manually deleted everything of C:, via search), registry clean, reinstall, fixed.

Hi,

thank you for the update. I'm glad to hear that it's working, but it's unfortunate that it took so much effort to fix the bug.
