Hello,

I am currently working at a project for which we use Dewetron/Dewesoft for the data acquisition of our measurement runs.

But we face a problem with the export of the data as mat.file.

After the export the prefix "Data1_" is added to the names which causes a cut of the name at the end.

As I could figure, the length of the channel name is limited to 31 characters.

e.g.:

"DAP_GNSS_StdDev_Spd_East_ST3" <--> "Data1_DAP_GNSS_StdDev_Spd_East_"

Is there a way to extend the limitation of characters or to switch off the prefix-adding function?

I highly appreciate your help!

Thank you very much in advance!

Hi,

you can switch off the Data1 prefix by setting the Trigger index format to 'None' (see attached photo).

Hi,

thank you very much for your help.

I figured out that we were using the older DEWESoft version 7.1.1 . After installing the latest X3 version the export worked well.

But we have one remaining question:

Is the export of data, which is gathered with the older version, fully compatible with the latest version?

In other words, can we shift our work from DEWESoft 7 to X3 with no changes needed, for example in the setup file?

Thank you very much in advance!

Hi,

attached you'll find an Excel table which shows what kind of setups that were made in older versions are compatible with X2/X3. This were setups made in older versions with different math modules, plugins,.. which we then ran with X2/X3, both setups and recorded data files.

Hope this answered your question.

@Urban Baš
Hi,
thank you very much for your support.
On this sheet it only displays the compatibility from Version 7 to X3 SP1.
Since I downloaded the latest version X3 SP2, is there any difference between SP1 and SP2, which could result to a different compatibility?

@Quirin Anker
Hi,
the difference between service packs should never be to big to effect compatibility between service packs. So if it's compatible with SP1 it's also compatible with SP2.
