Hello,

I want to detect a transient event during measurement. I have a reference sample of time signal for such event.

I can create FFT pattern as reference for comparison.

Can I use the correlation math tool to identify new occurences of the event?

I can select the reference channel 1 for cross correnation but how can I select my reference signal as second channel?

Is there a better way to do it?

Thank you in adavnce

Dear Adam,

thank you for reaching out to us. If I understand you correctly you would like to compare a known FFT of a signal to FFT from a current signal to determine an event. You could use frequency domain reference curve or Vector Reference curve with checking of signal bounds to determine when the signals are equal. In the attachment I have prepared a simple setup for demonstration.

Kind regards.
