Dear Dewesoft Support Team,

I have a dataset of voltage and current signals acquired with SIRIUS over more than 16 hours (approximately 47 GB). When performing harmonic analysis (up to the 50th order) using the Power Module → Power Quality in DewesoftX, I encounter the following error during recalculation:

“Error while storing offline data: Out of disk space” (see attached error_storing.png).

However, I have verified that there is sufficient free space on all relevant drives, including:

  • System drive (C:): over 50 GB free
  • Dewesoft installation drive: over 80 GB free
  • Data storage drive: over 200 GB free

Could this issue be caused by incorrect settings on my side? How should I resolve it?

If the issue is indeed related to insufficient reserved disk space, is there a way to estimate the required disk space based on the size of the source data?

Version: Windows 11, DewesoftX 2026.1 (RELEASE-260225) (64-bit)

Dear Lucian,

thank you for reaching out to us. I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing issues with post-processing.

Would it be possible for you to share an image of your Settings, specifically the Files and folders tab?

Another possibility would be that Dewesoft doesn't have access to the folder the recalculated datafiles were supposed to be saved to - Have you tried running DewesoftX as an administrator?

Or, would it be possible that IT is limiting the disk usage on your computer? Or that the computer has additional security? "

Generally speaking, Dewesoft needs a little extra disk space when storing datafiles. This is because the software "takes" some extra space during the recalculations, to ensure that all the data can be recalculated.

We would also like to try and reproduce this behaviour on our side - would it be possible for you to send this datafile over to us? Here are some of the more ways our users go about sending their datafiles over to Customer support.

Best regards,

Pika

Dear Pika,

Thank you very much for your reply.

1. My Files and folders settings:

2. I believe this issue is not related to system permissions. Based on further testing, I found that:

a. When I perform recalculation over the entire dataset (more than 16 hours), the error occurs during the process.

b. However, if I select a shorter time range (e.g., 4–5 hours), the recalculation and data saving complete successfully.

During the recalculation, I continuously monitored the available disk space on both the system drive (C:) and the drive where the default folders are located. The free space consistently remained above 200 GB, including at the moment when the error occurred.

3. Regarding sending the data file, I am sorry that due to limited network conditions on my side, it is difficult to upload such a large file.

At the moment, I have worked around the issue by splitting the dataset into smaller segments for recalculation and analysis.

If possible, I would like to suggest an improvement: it would be very helpful if the error message could provide more detailed information (and allow copying of the message), to facilitate troubleshooting and communication.

Best regards,

Lucian

Dear Lucian,

thank you for all the information so far.

I understand that it is not possible for you to send your datafile over to us. Could you by any chance send your setup file over to us instead? We would like to try and reproduce this behaviour, so that we can find the actual reason for it.

Best regards,

Pika
