Hi there,

I have a digital that I like to show in the screen as follows,

1 = "Open"

0 = "Close"

I tried creating two global variables as Open and Close and tried to output either one using a If statement in the formulas, but the formulas doesn't seem to output any text values.

Would this be possible in any way ?

Thanks

Hi,

the feature that you're looking for is the discrete display. If you're using X2, it's available on the indicator lamp by selecting the discrete data option. An example of that is shown in this chapter of the PRO training: https://training.dewesoft.com/online/course/visual-controls#indicator-lamp

If your using X3 than this process is even easier since the discrete display is now a standalone visual control, which looks like the digital display on the visual control ribbon. After you've assigned a channel to it you can define discrete values, colors and even images that represent certain values.

Let me know if you need anything else.
