Disable Plugin Warning / Error popups
Is it possible to disable the plugin popup messages shown below that occur when going to Measure mode? They can be a nuisance when there are known minor setup discrepancies, but the user wants to continue to measure anyway.

I did some testing using Excel writer to try and set Dewesoft, so that it ignores the setup errors and runs the program without having to press the ''yes'' button. I therefore believe that disabling the plugin popup messages is not possible.

I found that disabling the Excel Writer setup error message is possible by checking the "Ignore Errors" box in Excel Writer options.
I'd like to see an "Ignore Errors" option added to the Serial Com plugin. I purchased the Serial Com plugin but I'm not currently using it because of the popup Warning messages. I have numerous serial devices but they are not always connected therefore I don't want the "failed to open COM port" message (one for each device) to pop up every time I start acquisition.
The Modbus client plugin does not have the same warning message if devices are not currently connected. Therefore my workaround is to purchase serial to Modbus TCP converters however this will be expensive because I have numerous serial devices.
How do we get feature requests communicated to the developers?

I will check with the developers if it is possible to implement an option to remove the "failed to open COM port" pop-up messages if we do not properly set up the Extension. In the meantime, I'm afraid the only way to remove the pop-ups would be to remove the unused ports from the Serial com Settings, or replacing them with virtual ports.

I have reported the contents of this thread to the developers as a feature request.
Implementing this should be possible, however, as it is not a popular feature request, it will take a while before it tis implemented. I will let you know once there's any notable updates regarding the ticket.
