Dear all,

a new sensor interface becomes more and more common in automotive: "Single Edge Nibble Transmission" (SENT), which is described in SAE J2716. It's a kind of bit stream, which offers more capabilities in data transmission and will more and more replace the common PWM interface; both a based on the 3 wire TTL electrical interface.

Does DEWESoft already support this digital interface? I assume that the raw data can be acquired by the digital inputs. Currently I'm using DEWE 43 A.

Remark: I already asked this question during this year's measurement conference and the intention of this topic is follow-up and spreading it to a larger audience.

Best regards, Lars

Dear Lars,

Thank you for the new topic. We currently don't support the SENT protocol. We will take a look if this could be used with the existing hardware and usage of C++ script for decoding. I will send you an email to dicuss the details.

Best reagrds,

Primoz
