I receive the attached error and 13 very similar errors referencing REG_EXPAND_SZ torwards the end of the Dewesoft installation. Once I finish installing and rebooting the computer Dewesoft is unable to see any of the USB connected hardware (STG+).

I am having the same issue. Seems to focust around the OptoStreamSDK. Once installation is finished, I am unable to add GigE cameras.

I'm really sorry to hear about the problem you have experienced.

To be able to help you and solve the issue, please let me know:

  • version of Windows you are installing Dewesoft on,
  • version of Dewesoft installer have you used (online/offline, 32/64-bit),
  • user permissions you had when you installed Dewesoft,
  • if you are using any anti virus software and which one.

To try and solve the problem and also get some more information:

@Charlie Gibson: Can you try installing the USB drivers from this link manually and let me know how it goes?

@Adam Buchanan: Can you try installing the GigE camera drivers from this zip file manually and let me know how it goes?

@Aljaž Kropivšek I have tried multiple versions of DeweSoft x64 installer, from the latest version downloaded from this website, to Dewesoft_X3_SP7_Installer_x64.exe from June 3, 2019, received on the USB drive with our Sirius equipment delivery. I am running Windows 10 Pro for Workstations version 1809. Antivirus is standard Windows defender and firewall. The zip file you linked to above gives me the same errors. I have verified that in X3, directx camera support works, but the option for GigE is not present, even after registering the addons.

@Adam Buchanan thank you for providing all the information. It seems like you might have inadequate permissions and are not allowed to write into the Windows Registry. Can you try installing it with full admin rights?
