Dewesoft KRYPTONi DO disable "Reset on start measure" option

Hi

I have a KRYPTONi-8xDI-8xDO. I am intending to configure a DO channel to operate as "digital output". So when in "Measure" mode (circled Red in attachment below), I can set the value of DO channel to 1, the output voltage is circa 5V and when I set the value of DO channel to 0, the output voltage is 0V. All of these seems to work as expected.

However, I have noticed when I come out of the "Measure" mode, the DO channel output voltage is resetting itself to circa 0V. This may cause undesired behaviour in my test setup. So, I would I like to stop this i.e. I would like Dewesoft to retain its present DO channel state irrespective if its is in "Meaure" mode or otherwise.

Looking at the DO setup, there is an option which appears to do exactly what I want, except it is permemnantly enabled and greyed out. See "Reset on start measure" (Red arrow in attachment below) check-box.

Please can you confirm,

1. How to un-check (i.e. disable) this feature
2. Un-checking this feature will indeed allow Dewesoft to retain its present DO channel state. i.e. if output voltage = 5V, remain at 5V or if output voltage = 0V, remain at 0V, when changing from "Measure" mode to "Setup" mode and vice-versa.

thank you for reaching out to us. The EtherCAT devices work by resetting everything in the background (the device stops, sets, and restarts the measurement) when you go into a measurement. This is necessary because of the way EtherCAT itself works (according to standard), because the data that is sent (only used) changes, the devices have to be synchronized, etc.

This is the reason why the "reset on start measurement" is always performed. We try to indicate this for the user in the user interface, by always being on, and at the same time non-configurable.

Many thanks for your feedback. Whilst I understand the need for synchronisation, I do not understand why the DO's state need to be reset, unless the EtherCAT device (in this case the Krypton DO) is internally being forced into a "soft" reset, which effectically makes it forget its previous state. Unlike your suggestion on the "Reset on start measure" being non-configurable, your online manual appears to suggest otherwise. See "Control channel setup" in https://manual.dewesoft.com/x/setupmodule/modules/general/ctrlout. The "Reset on start measure" do appear to be configurable.

the option is not configurable for the EtherCAT devices - if this could we would enable the option as written in my previus reply. The USB devices have this option configurable.
