I have two outputs from basic statistics, each is outputting a time of minimum. These times correspond to events from a valve opening. I then want to use these two events to get a valve response. I tried to subtract the two with a math function but that of course subtracts the value and not the time. I could write these out as time units with the c++ script but hoping there is another way?

Dear Gary,

thank you for reaching out to us. In the attachment is an example file where the basic statistics is used to calculate the time difference. Please notice that the Basic statistics is set to single value.

You could also use stopwatch function to calculate the time difference.

Kind regards.

I was able to play around with this, but looks like the data is not being recorded at a constant rate throughout an acquisition and I also get totally different timing when storing and not. I also don’t appear to have enough time to perform the calculations before the next event occurs so between the issues trying to get accurate time between events is not going to be feasible.

This is on a setup with a two Monodaq’s they don’t have the same quality of hardware and plug-in is very very buggy.

Dear Gary,

it is hard to suggest a solution without knowing more details about the setup and workflow. Please send a sample data file, you can send it to support@dewesoft.com, so that we can take a loo and suggest a solution.

Kind regards.
