I wondering how the damping ration for a modal test is calculated in Dewesoft?

the calculation of damping in Modal circle is calculated based on Circle fit algorithm. The details are in attached file.

I have another guestion as well.
I have used the Damping Marker to find out the Q-factor and it works fine, but not for Damping ratio. I get zero damping ration, see pictures.
I used on a FFT signal from a vibration measurement.

Hi,
in order to show the value, you need to increase the decimal places of the curve.
Select a channel on the right side, right click on it and select Properties.
Increase the decimal places.
You will be able to see the damping value.
