Hello,

I newly installed Dewesoft on my laptop so I can do the data analysis on it instead of the computer I use to collect data. But when I transfer the data files from the test computer to my laptop (which is done via network connection) and try to open them using Dewe, it shows that the files are corrupted and cannot be open. meanwhile I can open them fine on the test computer. any ideas what is going on and how to fix this issue?

Dear Yazan,

thank you for reaching out to us. Were there any issues during file transfer of the data file? Have you checked the checksum of the two files, on the test computer and on your computer? The checksum of the files should be equal if file transfer was successful. You can check the checksum in command prompt by using the command: certutil -hashfile "FileName" SHA512.

Kind regards.

If the files are transferred over a network connection, there may be interruptions that cause partial or corrupt transfers. Try copying the raft wars files using another method, such as a USB drive, to see if this resolves the issue.
