Controlling a GigE Photron FastCAM camera

Hi,

I intent to use a GigE Photron FastCAM camera (datasheet attached) for recording video at >25000fps and would like control (i.e start/stop capture, record video in dewesoft data file) it via the DewesoftX software Version: 2021.2 (RELEASE-210420) (64-bit).

Is it possible to achieve the above if I install the GigECamera v7.0 (64-bit) plugin (https://download.dewesoft.com/download-file/gigecamera-x64zip)?

Does that mean the GigECamera v7.0 (64-bit) plugin is not sufficeint to control the Photron FastCAM camera (Photron-SA-X2)?

Hi,

I don't think the Photron cameras support the GigE vision interface.

The frame rates on the Photron cameras are so high, that the data is first stored on the camera itself and after the measurement, the video is transferred to Dewesoft.

This is only supported in the Photron plugin.
