Hi, I have a case where the user defines the set point of a variable. However, i would like the value to ramp to that setpoint at a ramp rate (again user defined) rather than a step change. Is this possible in Dewesoft x software?

Hi,

would it be possible to get some more information about the application?

We are not sure where you have these variables.

Hi,

Many thanks for the quick response.

Basically, I have 3 variables Speed_SP, Speed_Control and Speed_Ramp_rate. I would like the value of Speed_Control to ramp from "a value" to "Speed_SP" based on the user defined Speed_SP and Speed_Ramp_rate.

Hi,

attached is a setup file with a workaround for you. There is no direct way of doing this but it can be done with a formula.

This formula will check the previous value and then add or subtract the value depending on the current value of user input.

Primož

Thanks Primož

Seems like it does what I want...Will test it further.

Is it not possible to add this as a standard feature in to the "Math" tool box?
