I buyed S-BOXfe and 100Hz GPS option.(without RTK)

If I try it in the office instead of vehicle, I can measure the position.

However, GPS cannot be measured on vehicle.

GPS sensor is attached to vehicle roof. The material of the roof is a common metal.

As for the power supply, I tried DC12V(Max120W) from the cigar socket or AC100V(Max500W) using the inverter, but neither is cannot measure.

Do you know the cause?

I attach screenshots of Dewesoft, dedicated setting software and driver.

Hi Yuya,

Your setup looks as it should and also firmware is up to date.

I suggest you to first check if your antenna has a clear view of the sky and can get a clear reception of GNSS signals. If you still do not get any satellites displayed in GPS channel setup, the next you can try is to set your antenna to 'internal' under settings and test again if it receives satellites.

Please let us know if this helped, maybe the unit will require an RMA.

Kind Regards,

Nina

Hello Nina,

Thank you replay.

I tried GPS positioning for several days in a problem-free environment.

There were no tall buildings around. And I tried on sunny day.

GPS from other manufacturers can be measured.

I tried it even if I changed the setting of Dewesoft to internal, too.

I'll try again when I have time. However, I think the result will be the same.

I had the antenna changed once via DeweJapan.

I'm worried about the specifications of S-BOXfe.

Is GPS positioning possible with DC12V?

And are there any other people using S-BOXfe GPS in Japan?

Hello Yuya,

Just to clarify. You saw the satellites when the antenna was outside, while SBOXfe was running in the office (plugged in a normal power outlet).

In the office you probably used a normal power supply that comes with the unit. When in the vehicle you used the cigarette outlet and inverter as a power supply and you didn't see any satellites.

We are not aware of any issues with receivers and we know of many working without a problem in Japan.

We are considering two options:

- If the receiver never sees any satellites with both antennas even in the office the unit probably needs service.

- There is an issue with the power supply. According to specifications, SBOXfe should work on power supplies that you mentioned. Maybe there are some disturbances on the power supply that could cause issues.

Have a nice day,

Nina

Hello Nina,

I understand two options.

I will try again and report the results in here.

Best regard,

Yuya Matsumoto.

However, GPS could not do positioning.

I create new topic with the same title in the private support discussion because I want to tell you my office address.
