CANBUS Error Counter

Hello,

In the SETUP -> CAN screen there is an error counter labelled 'Err. Msg' which counts the number of errors on the CANBUS as they occur.

I want this number to be recorded in my data, as this will enable me to see if the CANBUS errors start to increase when a particular piece of equipment is switched on.

I couldn't find a way to achieve this currently.

If it is possible, please could you demonstrate how?

If it is not possible, please could you add it to the feature request list for a future version? It seems like something relatively easy to implement.

Many thanks.

Hello Nick,

We are just starting an update of the CAN interface and will also include this feature. There will two channels created (when enabled by the user) - good and bad message count. This is probably going the available with X3 SP7.

Best regards,

Primož

Hello again. Did this feature end up being added to SP7? I have been looking for it but cannot find it.

If its not implemented in SP7, is it planned for SP8?

Many thanks.

Hi,

unfortunately this feature wasn't added yet. But it is on our to-do list and we will inform you when it's available.

Hello. Thanks for adding this in Dewesoft X3 SP10. The new counter is exactly what we needed.
