Can Sequencer change what display are shown on each monitor

I have used sequencer to switch between what dewesoft causes displays but have not seen an option to select a display and then associate it with a physical monitor. The screen shot below, I don't have a multi-monitor setup on this machine, I have triple monitor on my test machine

The monitor settings are part of the setup file, and moreover you have to have monitor connected otherwise you cannot see the monitors in the dropdown. So which display is associated with which monitor should be configured in setup file (DXS).

DewesoftX actually access to the monitors that are available under the settings.

@Matic Pevec thank you for the response, I have multiple monitors working fine, just on the machine that I took the screen shot from did not have multiple monitors. The original question was can they be selected with the sequencer. I have no problem using sequencer to change what is being displayed on the primary monitor, but I don’t see any options for secondary/third monitors. I will play around with the settings and try it without using sub displays.

So to be clear I want to be able to assign any of the "displays" shown at the left to the available monitors (2nd or 3rd with sequencer. I currently have no problem switching between "displays and subdisplays" on the primary monitor with the sequencer.

I can confirm that switching between displays in Measure mode can be done with SetMainToolbar or SetInstrument action blocks. While on the other hand this affects only the primary window.

Attaching the screen to Secondary display can be done only manually by clicking to "Attach" button. This is then stored in the setup file and cannot be changed during the measurement i.e. is fixed. None block has functionality to focus on secondary display and change the display.


I just submitted a feature request that this will be added either to existing blocks or to a new block. The request will be evaluated by DewesoftX product team. I will keep you updated about the progress.

We would like to inform you that "Changing displays on secondary monitor in sequencer" was implemented in the new DewesoftX Release-Candidate version 2024/2/RC-240319 which is already available on Download Center on this link: https://dewesoft.com/download/dewesoftx-development-preview. Note that you should be signed-in to Dewesoft account to access release candidate versions. In the next release cycle the feature will be available in RELEASE version.

In order to update directly from DewesoftX you can click to "Check for updates" and follow the installer.
