CAN plugin speed and function
Hello,
I would like to ask you what happened with your CAN plugin, because the working with this plugin is pretty uncomfortable. The speed of this plugin is pretty poor and when I want to make all channels as saved, DEWESoft stuck, freeze and after 45 minutes is still freeze. In previous version of DEWESoft it was not much faster, but after 5 mins it works again and all channels were active and stored. I tried it for more times, but I have been giving the same result - freeze Dewe and impossibility to make a measurement with wanted setups. The CAN is under Volkswagen group company.
Could you, please, double check this plugin and its speed?

- number of CAN channels
- DewesoftX version
- data file or setup file
- are there any issues while storing the data or just in setup

thank you for your reply. In previous it was not so fast when I had to save all CAN messages/signals, but it worked. But with new version of Dewesoft (2023.2 (RC-230118)) I am unable to check all channels/signals as stored. Few signals are without problem, but when I want to store whole CAN it freeze down and after more than 45 minutes it is still freeze. In past it takes approx. 5 minutes to unstuck. Luckily In 99.9% of usage is not necessary to storage all CAN and I am working with only up to 10 signals.
And to your question:
- I am using only one CAN input (especially Antrieb CAN database file - Drive CAN of VW cars)
- version of Dewe is mentioned above
- it does not depend if it is current setup or blank new only with CAN
- this issue is only in setup before starting measurement (which can't be start, because Dewe freeze without any response)
