Hello,

I would like to ask you for help with my measurement with DEWE 43A. I have to read and save whole CAN communication on multiple CAN channels. I am using two Vector VN1610 hardware, because I need to save 3 CAN-FD channels. I have original *.dbc files imported into CAN module in DEWESoft X. The 1st CAN channel seems to work well - I have set the correct frequencies, but the second and third CAN input does not save almost nothing despite of checked box Save all messages and in the table under this header are all messages checked as Saving. When I finish my measurement and open measured data, there are almost nothing saved. The CAN line was checked by Vector SW and all the messages are alive and the used database works well. But I am not able to see nothing. Could you help me with correct settings, please?

Thank you in advance for your kind help!

Regards,

Jan

Dear Mr. Kazda,

thank you for reaching out to us. I am sorry to hear that you are having trouble working with our software.

If I understand you correctly, you are working with two Vector VN1610 devices and one Dewe-43 device. Could you tell me a little more about your setup? How are the devices connected to the PC, and how do you utilize the Dewe-43 in your measurements? To my knowledge, the Vector VN1610 devices are connected directly to the measurement PC, so a specific DewesoftX device shouldn't be necessary if you are simply reading the data off of these devices.

I would also like to define what exactly "the second and third CAN input does not save almost nothing despite of checked box Save all messages and in the table under this header are all messages checked as Saving. When I finish my measurement and open measured data, there are almost nothing saved." means. Do you have any images of the behaviour you could share with us, so that we could see what's going on a little clearer?

If possible, I would also ask if you could send a setup file over to us, so that we can look at the configuration itself.

Our solution, How to send your files to Dewesoft Team, goes through the most common ways of communication with us, just in case your data/setups are sensitive in nature and thus cannot be posted on this public forum.

Best regards,

Pika.
