C++ script not registered

I installed DEWESOFT X3 (latest upgrade SP8) with C++ script enabled.

This works OK, but after opening (and closing) a measurement file and then trying to use a C++ script again, an error is given:

"Dewesoft not registered for c++ script"

I need to restart Dewesoft and the C++ works again.

I Also notice that when I have a setup where a C++ script is used, and I open a measurement file from "analyse" and then return to the "Measure" screen, the math formules using c++ are gone!

On 2 other systems, I experience the problem that C++ script cannot be used at all, although the option was installed with Dewesoft.

Error given: Dewesoft not registerd to use: c++ script.

All systems are Windows 10 PC's

What can be done to solve this?

I have used C++ script before (it is a nice option!) but now I run into problems :(

Thanks for your help,

Harm

Dear Harm,

to use the c++ script math you need an additional option in your license. Do you have the correct license for using c++ script?

I am not sure what you mean. What license do I need? I have used it before without any issues (in combination with Krypton system).

So, after quite a long time of installing, reinstalling, trying etc:

I have found that when the Dewesoft PC is connected to a DS-NET, and thus licensed for real measurement, the C++ script function is not useable.

And in simulation mode (with disabled DS-NET), C++ script works.

That is .... disappointing :(

What do I need to make this work??

Harm

Dear Harm,

you need an additional option in the license, but this was changed quite recently. The script should work normally in simulation mode but when in real measurement you will need an additional license.

You can read everything on the C++ script licensing in one of our solution.

@DEWESoft Support

Thank you for the clarification. I was not aware that the use of C++ was changed to licensed use.

I am interested to hear what the cost will be. I'll ask my local Dewesoft agent.

Best regards,

Harm
