Hello guys !

I have a system architecture that involves one master and 9 slaves (NET).

For this architecture I generate a unique sensor database (almost 300 sensors).

When I need to update the database (change of scales or sensor type for example), I do the following procedure :

  • On the master I do : "Close DEWESoft on slaves"
  • I close DEWESoft on the Master
  • I copy / paste the new AnalogSensors.dxb on each clients and on the master.
  • I re-open DEWESoft on the master and reconnect to each slaves from the master.
  • I then reload the setup on the master, and it is loaded on the slaves too.

But sometimes, it happens that the AnalogSensors.dxb seems to be overwritten on some slaves (1 or 2) and it has not the same numbers of sensors (50 when I have 300 in my file).

So, I would like to know, how to make sure the new file is taken into account on all the slaves ? What must be the process to update a sensor database ? What am I doing wrong ?

Is it the setup loaded on the slave station by the master that is overwritting my database ?

Thanks for your help !

Max

Dear Helmut,

thank you for contacting us. DewesoftX should read the analog sensors from the AnalogSensors.dbx file. A setup file does not overwrite this file. You can check, remove or import the analog database by remote connection and going to the analog sensor editor.

Kind regards.
