I'm getting problem about DCOM interface which is not updated channels between Dewesoft7.1 and our application1.

Nodes:

Laptop1 : DCOM server (Dewesoft7.1) as belonging to No Domain and DCOM client as our application1 located on DCOM server is using DCOM API (Same to DCOM server)

Laptop2 : Our application2 program runs and receive data from appliication1 through TCP socket

Symptom:

On our application1 using DCOM, the application1 receives values when started DCOM communication with DCOM server but after while (or after 2nd query it doesn’t change any more while we can see the value is updated constantly on Ch setup menu on Dewesoft7.—the data itself is acquired by 100 msec interval on Dewesoft7)

The updated values were received only when like :

  • We opened and closed chanel setup menu(even without changing any configuration)
  • We changed “tab” in menu (like “Ch Setup” to “Measurement”)

--- It looks like some manual intervention on Dewesoft7 triggers update of the values on DCOM interface.

Question:

  1. Do you have any defined trigger to value on DCOM interfaces? If Yes, what is that?
  2. Do you have any DCOM API to refresh the value other than acquiring?

Just to make sure, are you using Dewesoft 7.1.0 or some newer version? Because this sounds more like an issue on Dewesoft's side, so it might be worth trying the most recent version, which is DEWESoft 7.1.3. b443.

Let me know in case that doesn't help.
