Sirius XHS modes
Hi Dewesoft,
I have been trying to figure out clearly the modes in Sirius XHS in order to understand the resolution which will be in use based on the sample rate. I understand that below a certain sample rate, the XHS is in 'high dynamic mode' and the ADC used is a 24-bit one. Above this rate in 'high bandwidth mode' a 16-bit ADC is used. In High Dynamic mode, AAF filter should be selected, while in High BW mode, this is either analogue 1MHz LPF or none.
Now my ambiguity comes out about the sample rate at which the ADCs are changed. Is it 1MS/s or 2MS/s? On the website:
while in the manual:
Is there any way I can see which mode is configured in Dewesoft during the channel configuration?
Dear Edward,
the correct 2 MS/s, what is on the web page and the table in the Sirius-XHS manual:
The FIR filter can be applied to max 2 MHz sampling rate. If sampling rate is higher the logic is to fallback to section 2. HW 1 MHz filter on.
Kind regards.
